Placed in the north slope of Evoramonte Castle, Quinta do Serafim is an old olive-oil mill built before the XVI.th century surrounded by several small houses for the wor,kers. It was converted in a Rural Tourism in the year of 2000.
The buildings occupy an area of 900 square meters and were recovered taking the care of preserve the traditional appearance. Nevertheless modern commodities were introduced, such as W.C., kitchenettes, electric heating and satellite television. The furniture and decoration were organised with traditional old furniture and rural items, including some antiquities and even archaeological items, obtaining a typical traditional local ambience.

Quinta do Serafim has four independent houses, three of them for renting to guests. Each house (“casa”) has an outside private veranda and has a different name.
The property has a fenced area of 11 hectares, with 1500 very old (centuries) olive trees, cork trees and a variety of other trees. It lodges horses and sheep. It is located in a national ecologic reserve, being the refuge of variety of wild life.
The view is magnificent over the fields of Alentejo and several cities and villages are seen from the property, as Estremoz, Sousel, Santa Vitória do Ameixial, Cano and Aviz. In clear days it is possible to see the mountains of Serra da Estrela, distant 250 km.
